Water reporting

Managing water in Mexico is becoming more complex. Regulations are evolving, basin-level conditions vary significantly across the country, and what applies at one facility may look very different at another. For global companies, the challenge is understanding what each site faces, staying ahead of regulatory changes, and connecting corporate water strategy with the operational reality of the plant floor.
In this session, Félix Daniel Guerrero Alvarado and Jorge Ivan Soberanis Godoy from Metalsa will join Waterplan to share how they manage water across two very different facilities: Apodaca in Nuevo León and Guanajuato. The conversation will cover how regulatory requirements translate into day-to-day decisions, how site teams coordinate with corporate sustainability, and what it actually takes to stay prepared when conditions and expectations change. They will also share specific examples of how compliance needs led to process changes and investment decisions, and where data, metering, and technology are helping their teams move from reactive to proactive water management.
