Summary
Many industrial plants collect water data every day and still struggle to answer a basic operational question: where is the water actually going? Manual readings, data spread across different systems, unmetered points, operational changes, and discrepancies between data sources can make it difficult to understand how water moves through a facility—and why the water balance often doesn’t add up.
In this session, Daniel Abt and Giuliana Castro from Natura Hispana will share the journey of the Moreno plant toward building a more complete and dynamic view of its water flows. From defining a strategy for greater visibility and validating the plant’s physical system to implementing new measurements, establishing day-to-day monitoring, and uncovering early operational insights, the conversation will explore what it takes to build a water balance that stays up to date and can support decision-making.
We’ll also explore the role of technology in simplifying monitoring, identifying deviations, and turning scattered data into more actionable insights for Environmental and Operations teams.
