Summary
Turning a corporate water strategy into concrete action at the local level requires much more than setting targets. It involves understanding local water challenges, identifying the right projects and partners, and maintaining visibility into implementation and results over time.
In this session, Nestlé and Waterplan will explore this journey through the work carried out in Santa María and the collaboration with Isla Urbana on rainwater harvesting projects in schools. The conversation will connect corporate sustainability strategy, water risk assessments, and the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) framework with the practical work of selecting projects, engaging communities, and implementing tangible solutions on the ground.
Bringing together corporate and implementation perspectives, the speakers will share early results and lessons learned, how they manage data and track progress across different initiatives, and the role that data, technology, and artificial intelligence can play in enabling better decisions and scaling impact.
